Sometimes it seems that the white colour is meant to be worn only on our wedding day. Well, the time has come to dispel this myth and make our partner surprised over and over again for all throughout life, and not only when we walk down the aisle of a church or a garden: white dresses deserve better attention than they presently have!
Oh, it’s so hot!
Let’s start with the fact that summer season is just around the corner and we are all looking for clothes to wear at the beach, in the office or during an evening walk that slim our figure, that make us feel in step with fashion trends but above all that give us a sense of freshness throughout the day. So there is no better garment than a white dress to wear under the sun of 3 p.m., a wider one may be in order to avoid the undesired sweat effect, worn with a pair of low wedges and a bag, for a quick “ready and go” look which always looks good in summer.
With what do we pair our white dress?
Do you really ask yourself this question? This problem does not deserve to exist, girls! Matching white is one of the easiest things to do since it is pretty good with anything. But let’s proceed one step at a time. White is a delicate colour so we have two choices: the first one is to stick to nude colours; the second one is to explore the whole palette of colours present on Paint… Preview – I would rather choose the second one, but let’s see what I’m talking about with two sample outfits!
Regarding the first option, we can imagine a white dress of any kind which we can be combined with sneakers, wedges or heels in nude, beige, cream or even black colour to stay classic. Let’s add some accessories: a bag of course, maybe a straw one, a pair of nice earrings and a necklace if the dress has a plunging neckline. The perfect outfit for every occasion!
As for the second one, which I repeat is my favourite, we can pair our white dress with red, blue, green, pink or red heels. Be creative! Every colour is accepted when it comes to shoes. We can then match the colour of our shoes with accessories in the opposite or similar colours. Here comes an outfit which will not go unnoticed in the evening!
A perfect look to wear at the beach
Overall, white is the perfect colour to wear at the beach if we want to highlight our tan to the best. White is indeed the best friend of our summery skin! Let’s pair it with our ever-present straw bag and hat and our lovely beach shoes: we are now ready to enjoy the sun!

Yes, it is true, light colours tend to expand our figure unlike the dark ones, but if we wear them properly, we can figure this out. Let’s avoid too tight sheath dresses that enhance our curves and let’s choose something wider, such as a skater dress. As for our underwear, it is absolutely undeniable that we don’t want to put our cards out on the table as soon as we go outside, so let’s wear smoothing panties and bras, that are not close-fitting and do not create body bloat!
